Arthur Rishi

 

Tenor Arthur Rishi performs frequently in opera, oratorio, and concert.  Recent appearances have included Janacek's Diary of One Who Vanished at Northeastern University, Monteverdi's Gloria a 7 with the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum, the Evangelist in Bach’s St. John Passion with Sarasa Early Music Ensemble, Britten’s Songs from the Chinese with guitarist Robert Ward, and lieder by Hugo Wolf with pianist Jungmee Kim.

Mr. Rishi has performed Schubert’s song-cycle Die schöne Müllerin nearly twenty times in concert halls throughout the Northeast and Canada, and as a featured artist for First Night Providence.  His operatic roles have included Tamino in The Magic Flute, Tito in La Clemenza di Tito, the Male Chorus in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, and Satyavan in Holst’s Savitri.  As an oratorio soloist, Arthur performed with the Occidental College Glee Club, Yale University Collegium Musicum, Andover Choral Society, Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus, and Northeastern University Choral Society, among others.

He is Music Director of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Brookline Village and director of the concert series at the Harvard Business School.
