Caitlin Felsman, Mezzo Soprano, made her professional opera debut in November 2011 with Austin Lyric Opera as Second Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. Ms. Felsman earned a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Texas at Austin where she performed the roles of Nancy in Britten’s Albert Herring, and Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, and worked with composer Daniel Catan to prepare and perform the role of Isabela in the world premiere of a new orchestration of La Hija de Rappaccini. In 2011 she was a Danis Wilson Apprentice Artist at Sugar Creek Symphony and Song where she performed the role of Alma March in Adamo’sLittle Women. Ms. Felsman returned to her childhood hometown in Spring of 2012 to perform at the Harare International Festival of the Performing Arts in Harare, Zimbabwe as a featured recitalist, and as a soloist for Karl Jenkin’s The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace. In the summer of 2013, Ms. Felsman performed the role of Dorabella in productions of Così fan tutte with North End Performing Arts Center and Opera del West.
