Dana Schnitzer, Soprano, has worked with numerous opera companies including Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Boston, Caramoor, Connecticut Lyric Opera and Commonwealth Opera. An avid concert soloist, recent highlights include the Dvo?ák Te Deum with the Metropolitan Chorale (Jordan Hall), Vaughn William’s Sea Symphony with the Metropolitan Chorale (Sanders Theatre), and the Beethoven Mass in C at Tanglewood (Ozawa Hall). Ms. Schnitzer has placed in numerous vocal competitions, and participated in several young artist training programs including the Caramoor Bel Canto Young Artist Program in NY, Britten-Pears Programme in the UK, PORTopera program in ME, and the Brevard Music Center in NC. She holds the Bachelor of Music degree from UMASS Amherst, the Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Boston University. Ms. Schnitzer is in her first year as full-time voice faculty at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
