Mark Bartlett

Mark Bartlett has been a member of Assabet Valley Mastersingers since 2009. Prior to joining AVM, he sang with Masterworks Chorale for 20 years and served two terms on their Board of Directors. Currently he is a member of the board of the Boston Piano Amateurs Association, a group of non-professional pianists who present an international piano competition every two years in the Boston area.

Mark grew up in Springfield, Illinois, studying piano at Northwestern University with Laurence Davis and later moving to Boston in 1985 for further studies at Tufts University.

In recent years Mark has been active in chamber music concerts in the area, including performances in Milford, Millis and Worcester, and has accompanied many Summer Sings for Masterworks Chorale in Lexington and Dedham. He can also be heard on a regular basis playing at the Symphony Café prior to Boston Symphony concerts.  By day Mark is a systems analyst for State Street Corporation in downtown Boston. He lives in Marlborough with his wife and two children.
