Paulette LaBarre

labarrePaulette LaBarre, mezzo-soprano, is a graduate of Anna Maria College and has enjoyed a distinguished career as a singer in the Worcester, Massachusetts area. She has been acclaimed for the clarity and warmth of her voice as well as for its flexibility.

This year she performed the Duruflé Requiem with the Salisbury Singers and with the Mastersingers of Worcester at their Mass Extravaganza in St. Paul’s Cathedral. She sang with the Salisbury Lyric Opera in their presentation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury and in the Concert in the Park of Summer 2001. She has performed with many groups in the area, including Worcester Chorus, Bach Society of Worcester, Assumption College Chorale, Pakachoag Community Church Choir, First Unitarian Church of Worcester, St. Paul’s Cathedral Festival Choir, and Boston College Chorale.

In addition to her work as a classical musician, Ms. LaBarre is a liturgical musician serving as cantor at Our Lady of the Angels, St. John’s, and St. Paul’s Cathedral, as well as leading workshops for the training of cantors in the Catholic traditions. She maintains a voice studio in her home in Auburn.
