A resident of Stow, MA, soprano Priscilla Gale has appeared extensively throughout the United States with a number of choral and orchestral organizations. She sings a wide-ranging repertoire, including opera, traditional sacred literature, and secular or contemporary works. Locally she has received critical acclaim for appearances with Worcester County Music Association, Opera Company of Boston, Opera New England, Boston Lyric Opera, Salisbury Lyric Opera, Symphony Pro Musica, Assabet Valley Mastersingers, Boston Classical Orchestra, Newton Symphony, and the Boston Aria Guild, among others.
She was a Finalist in the Die Meistersinger Competition in Graz, Austria and subsequently received a recording contract with the Swiss-Italian Radio Orchestra in Lugano, Switzerland. Ms.Gale has also been a Winner or Finalist in several other vocal competitions, among which are the Bel Canto Foundation, the Opera Company of Philadelphia/Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition, and twice a Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera New England Regional Auditions. With the Seattle Symphony, Gerard Schwartz conducting, she recently recorded a work written for her by composer William Thomas McKinley. Her recording of turn-of-the-century Irish songs with classical guitarist Andrej Mentschukoff may be enjoyed on Centaur Records under the title “Dream Faces.”
