AVM in the Community

The Assabet Valley Mastersingers have been fervently committed to community outreach, nurturing a deep passion for music and choral arts within their region. The presence of the Mastersingers' booths at local fairs serves as a bridge between the community and the world of choral arts, fostering a deeper appreciation for music and creating lasting connections within the region. In addition, the Chambersingers gracefully extend their musical talents to touch the lives of local seniors, regularly performing at Senior centers in the community.

Apprentice Singer Program

The Assabet Valley Mastersingers Apprentice Singer Program offers an extension of a high school student’s choral experience. The Program offers talented and motivated choral students the opportunity to prepare and perform classic masterworks in concert with mature vocalists, professional soloists and instrumentalists within our community.  The AVM Apprentice Singer Program has drawn high school vocalists from Northborough, Southborough, Marlborough and Boylston. Many singers join us as juniors and continue with us during their senior year. Several Apprentice Singers have gone on to study music but many pursue studies in other academic disciplines.

The Mastersingers have also established a Scholar Award to recognize outstanding achievements in music and academics, granting deserving individuals the means to pursue further education in the field of their dreams.  The Assabet Valley Mastersingers will be presenting the 2024 AVM Scholar Award in the amount of $500.00 to a local high school senior who demonstrated outstanding support for and participation in choral music with plans to continue their choral music experiences in college.
