AVM Apprentice Singer Program

The Assabet Valley Mastersingers Apprentice Singer Program offers high school students an extension of their choral experience by collaboration with area choral music programs.

The Program offers talented and motivated choral students the opportunity to participate in the preparation and performance of classic masterworks in concert with mature vocalists, professional soloists, and instrumentalists within our community.

Since 2002, the AVM Apprentice Singer Program has drawn high school vocalists from Northborough, Southborough, Marlborough and Boylston. Many singers join us as juniors and continue with us during their senior year. Several apprentice singers have gone on to study music but many pursue studies in other academic disciplines. Through exposure to vocalists of all ages the AVM Apprentice Singer experience fosters a life long pursuit of choral music.

Dr. Robert Eaton, AVM founder and Artistic Director, has been a longtime educator, adjudicator and award-winning conductor of high school choirs. Currently President of the Eastern Division of ACDA, his support of quality programming and creation of opportunities for choral students regardless of financial resources is well acknowledged.

The AVM Apprentice Singer Program assigns no dues and music is provided at no cost to the Apprentice Singer. Click here for a brochure which outlines the program benefits and musical expectations for the apprentice vocalist.

Please encourage your talented and motivated choral students to participate in the AVM Apprentice Program.  Please print out and complete the apprentice form.
