Leslie Rutan

Leslie served on the Northborough Select Board from 2004-2022, and prior to that on the Northborough School Committee from 2000-2004. She has been active on many town committees, and served as liaison from the two elected boards on which she served, to several other boards and commissions. She was also Chair of the Building Committee for the recently renovated Lincoln Street Elementary School in Northborough. Currently, Leslie does proofing and editing work in addition to volunteer activities in town. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in French, and also had a long career with Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. 

Leslie lives in Northborough with husband Mark, and has three children: Patrick lives in Brooklyn and is currently completing his Masters in Architecture at Pratt Institute, Emily is a Radiology Fellow at UPenn and resides in the Philadelphia area with husband Mike and grandson Alex, and Ben is currently at Harvard Law School and living in Cambridge. Ben was also an Apprentice Singer with AVM for two years while a student at Algonquin Regional High School, and both he and Patrick are members of wonderful local choral groups in their respective cities.
